William Vastine, ca. 1938.


Louis Vastine was born on March 29, 1906 in Hastings, Nebraska. He attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1926, receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, and in 1930, earned his Master’s of Architecture from the esteemed Columbia University. While in school, Vastine was a part of the Sigma Tau and Sigma Chi honorary fraternities, junior chamber of commerce, the Co-Operative Club, and St. Mary’s Cathedral. Vastine passed away on December 7, 1938, survived by wife, Anne, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vastine.[1][2]
