James McDonnell (1832-1910), Architect

Green Bay, Wisconsin, 1865-1886; Omaha, Nebraska, 1887-1898


James McDonnell was born January 8, 1832, in Ireland. During the early 1860s, he studied and practiced architecture in Chicago, then moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin in 1865 to continue his practice. In 1887, McDonnell arrived in Omaha.[3] He was married to Elizabeth McDonnell.[5] He died January 21, 1910 and is buried in Green Bay.[4]
