Information = Windmill, Kregel; Kregel Eli, Steel Head and Tower, Kregel Co., Nebraska City

Description = STOOD ON THE RIGHT OF WAY OF HIGHWAY 2 ABOUT 3 MILES EAST OF UNADILLA.

George F. Kregel began manufacturing Eli windmills in Nebraska City in 1891. The company became the Kregel Windmill Company around 1911, and George's son, Arthur, took over the business in the 1940s. Although the company quit producing windmills at that time, Art continued to repair windmills and sell parts into the 1980s.
