William George Autentrieth (1916-2007), Architect
William George Autenrieth was born in Nevada, Missouri on February 22, 1916.[2] He attended colleges in the 1930s, then appeared in Omaha as a clerk for the Union Pacific Rail Road. In 1948 he entered architecture as a draftsman for Steele, Sandham & Steele in Omaha. He became a licensed architect in 1957, whereupon he became an associate in the Steele lineage of architectural firms. He stayed with Steele until the last firm closed its doors in 1972. Autenrieth finished his career working for three other prominent firms, and retired in 1982. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects, and passed away in 2007.[b]
