Omaha, Nebraska, 1963-1992

Norman D. Olsen was born in Omaha, Nebraska on June 1, 1937. Before beginning his architectural studies, Olsen served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve from 1961-1967.[1] While serving, Olsen received his Bachelor of Architecture from Kansas State University in 1964.[1] In 1970, Olsen began working for Kirkham, Michael & Associates. Then he practiced with his own architectural firms, first, Teig & Olsen, and then the Olsen Partnership, with his wife who was also an architect, Linda Pounds Olsen née Arnold. They had two daughters, though they separated. Olsen died at 58 years of age in Omaha.[2]
