Hansen''' was born May 10, 1889 in Presto, Denmark.[[#References|[1]]] During World War I, Hansen served in the hospital corps.[[#References|[1]]] He arrived in Lindsay, Nebraska in 1917, after emigrating from Denmark.[[#References|[1]]] On August 15, 1919, Hansen married Beata Nielsen in St. Paul, Nebraska.[[#References|[1]]] Hansen was a carpenter by trade and resided in Fremont, Nebraska for 28 years.[[#References|[1]]] He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the First Lutheran Church.[[#References|[1]]] Hansen had four sons and two daughters.[[#References|[1]]] He died in 1943.[[#References|[1]]]<br />
