Ira Thomson Carrithers, Jr. (1927-2011), Architect

Ira Thomson Carrithers, Jr. was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on August 10, 1927. He served in the Navy during World War II, then attended Iowa State University, receiving his Bachelor’s of Science in Architectural Engineering in 1949. Carrithers pursued post-graduate work at the University of Hawaii from 1951-1952. He married JoAnn O’Brien on January 21, 1967. He passed away on April 25, 2011 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.[1][2][3]
