Edward Wright (1857-1896), Architect-Builder

Edward Wright was born in Dover, Delaware on February 17, 1857. He lived in Delaware until 1876, when he moved to Fort Scott, Kansas where he worked in manufacturing. In 1877, he came to Scotia, Nebraska.[[#References| Other than being known as the top merchant in Scotia in 1882, Ed designed the Ed Wright Building in Scotia, Nebraska in 1887.[GY05-001] Wright was married to Mary Jane Bean of Scotia in 1882. He died on December 11, 1896.[2
