'''Verner Milton Meyers''' graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1934 with a Bachelor of Architecture. He worked as an architect in Lincoln and Seward, though the exact details of his unemployment are unknown. Myers married Irene, then, after Irene's death, Patricia. He had two children, David and Lynne. Meyers was a Member of Beta Theta Pi, the American Institute of Architects, American Institute of Construction, Oriental Institute, University of Chicago, and American Schools of Oriental Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was awarded the Distinguished Teaching Award from UNL in 1985, and the Outstanding Professor Award in construction management, in 1984-1985. He attended First Presbyterian Church since 1949, and was on the Board of Directors at the Madonna Home in 1955, as well as the Board of Directors for the Lincoln City Auditorium in 1951. Meyers was also the Director of Department of Planning and Construction of UNL, and a member of the Kiwanis Club. He died September 22, 2001.[[#References|[1][2]]]
